As founder of Insight Strategic Concepts ®Inc., Shelley has created a specific philosophy, methods, and an entrepreneurial center that are collectively designed to provide a creative experience for those aspiring to follow their heart and be successful as entrepreneurs.

ENTREPRENEUR Shelley began her career working for her father’s accounting firm. Since her early teens she was exposed to and interested in the challenge of entrepreneurialism. She completed special projects and set up technology systems that were beginning to emerge for small businesses. During college, she gained experience in the corporate domain working four years in the marketing department of a Bristol-Myers Squibb company. She graduated from college with two degrees: in Marketing/International Business and Advertising. She studied business for one year in Osaka, Japan focusing on manufacturing, economics and language. Since then, she has followed her commitment to small and medium business dynamics by working with the volatility of family businesses before starting her own business. She served these businesses in the roles of sales and marketing manager, market analyst, product manager, marketing director, strategic planner, and cross-functional team designer. She swiftly excelled and advanced up the ranks to lead departments and strategic initiatives that designed steps for new levels of entrepreneurial growth. In 1999, Shelley founded Insight Strategic Concepts® Inc. with the vision of engaging a variety of business owners in discovery about the truths of growing their businesses. Her experience with high-level engagement of growth activities have proven to be direct, challenging and relentless in establishing ethics for innovation, collaboration and leadership. She has facilitated hundreds of strategic sessions that intimately address the individual next steps that it takes for success in small and medium businesses. She has worked for over a dozen different industries with businesses ranging from $1 million to $250 million in revenue. She has researched and integrated the success dynamics she has witnessed and has published original tools that facilitate growth in organizations. Components of Insight’s proprietary products and services include the Insight Integrated Mapping System and the supporting INroot Processes that facilitate owners in connecting the dots of their paths to success. Insight’s staff provides Companion accountability services that manage and track client projects. She has founded Pathfellow®, an external team of independent business owners that specialize in services that support business growth. STRATEGIST/POTENTIALIST Shelley serves as strategist and advisor for dozens of executives and business owners who value her ability to see the vision for their ideas and help them design next steps for reaching their desired outcomes. She has served as a career advisor by administering assessment tools to understand personal talents. She has served as customer advocate by administering market research to discover the underlying strengths and weaknesses of an organization. She has served as leadership developer by working with individual leaders in understanding how they can become better people in order to produce better people. She has served as strategist by defining the target segments and programs that best align with an organization’s competencies. She has served as human resource developer in designing HR departments. She has served as board advisor by holding leaders accountable to objectives. All of these efforts have led to growth plans designed by Shelley and her clients. These action steps are directed to achieve growth that is distinct to each organization’s unique potential. TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPER Shelley has designed the BLOOM™ performance optimization system with Connelly Design Studio, a design and technology company located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She designed this system to facilitate Insight’s services in helping owners align specific strategic initiatives with the roles of their employees. The system guides automated processes for developing job profiles, performance reviews, performance logs, employee goal setting, training programs, wage scales and posting important shared documentation. The system serves as an anytime, anywhere system for tracking results. Shelley has also assisted Connelly Design Studio with the refinement of the INconnect task management system which Insight and its clients use for project and contact management functions. WRITER Shelley has written various articles and white papers regarding business ownership, the Law of Growth, Growthsourcing, Organic Integration, organizational development and research, community development and personal development. She is currently working on her first book about how the Law of Growth is the answer to successful entrepreneurialism and how it provides freedom for personal development and for making a difference in communities worldwide. This is scheduled for completion in December 2007. TEACHER Shelley has taught entrepreneurial and business programs for ASSETS, Goshen College, Notre Dame, Chambers of Commerce, and workshops for businesses and individuals. In 2007, she is starting Engage Learning Experiences at the Insight Studio which will feature Ownershops for owner groups and Teamshops for management teams. These will challenge small working groups to discover various areas of personal development and strategic growth awareness that are necessary for entrepreneurial success. PHILANTHROPIST In 2008, Shelley is launching the Insight Angel Network which will provide loans to fund young entrepreneurs under the age of thirty. These aspiring entrepreneurs will submit innovative growth plans to an advisory group of successful entrepreneurs within designated geographic areas. The entrepreneur advisors will select the most forward-thinking business initiatives within their communities that have potential for making local impact. Shelley also serves on the board of directors for ASSETS, a non-profit organization that provides a twelve week educational program for entrepreneurs. This program is instructed by business professionals and leaders in the Northern Indiana area. Shelley has assisted with the curriculum development; she instructs the classes Defining Your Dream, The Challenges of Entrepreneurship and The Customer, featuring market segmentation; and she serves as an active mentor to participants. MAGAZINE FOUNDER Spring 2007, Shelley is launching the first edition of the Insight Magazine that will feature articles related to the Law of Growth. Also featured will be an ensemble of excerpts featuring Insight’s various products, services, technologies and partnerships to help people understand the many facets of Insight.
