ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR

Entrepreneurial ideas are implemented by courageous risk-takers. Having an idea is one thing, but executing an idea is another. One must have the skill to create products and services that customers need and then to market and sell products and services in the right channels. There is little margin for error and little time to adapt if you are wrong. In our history, Elkhart County’s entrepreneurs have provided a host of jobs and opportunities to our area. Now, it’s time to celebrate today’s modern entrepreneurs who will support the future development of a healthy community.

Nominations will be reviewed by Elkhart County business leaders and chamber officials. Candidates will be selected on the basis of Insight’s criteria for growth and the proof of the nominee’s business success. By nominating exemplary entrepreneurs who represent the future of Elkhart County’s growth, we can spur entrepreneurial activity and innovation in our community.

Insight's panel of area business professionals will select and award 2 area entrepreneurs in categories on November 6th at the Elkhart County Chamber Expo.

The Entrepreneurship of the Year and the Next Top Entrepreneur will be awarded at the Elkhart County Chamber of Commerce Business Expo on November 6, 2008 between 5:30—6:30PM at the grandstand area. The winners will also be featured at an Evenings with Insight meet and greet on November 20, 2008 from 5:30—7:00PM at the Insight Studio.
