Insight is committed to supporting the development of entrepreneurs in northern Indiana. Indiana scores in the lower percentile of states for innovation. Thus, Insight is dedicated to the encouragement of new ideas to be nurtured and flourished by young people who desire to start businesses in the communities where we work and live. Our philosophy is that community economics are best served by having a hundred businesses that employ ten people rather than having one business that employs a thousand people.

Insight regularly participates on boards, committees, associations and other volunteer opportunities. Shelley Moore, founder, serves in leadership positions for established nonprofits and supports the development of new organizations or events to meet unfulfilled needs within our communities. ASSETS of Elkhart is a non-profit organization that provides a twelve week educational program for aspiring entrepreneurs. Shelley serves on the board and Insight has been highly involved in the development of this program that is instructed by business professionals and leaders in the northern Indiana area. Shelley has assisted with the curriculum development and has instructed classes since its inception in 2003. In 2008, Shelley is launching the Insight Angel Network which will provide education and funding to young entrepreneurs under the age of thirty. These aspiring entrepreneurs will submit innovative growth plans to an advisory group of successful entrepreneurs within designated geographic areas. The entrepreneur advisors will select the most forward-thinking business initiatives within their communities that have potential for making local impact. We hope our philanthropic support of these community initiatives will help make a difference in the lives and success of entrepreneurs.
